About Private Vocal Lessons

Blue Canoe is extremely excited to be able to offer private individual vocal lessons this fall. Our vocals instructor, Ryan Cowl, holds degrees in classical music and education, and has been working as a vocal coach for almost a decade. Ryan focuses on musical theatre vocal technique using classical and contemporary tools to inform his teaching and coaching. These lessons will develop a singer’s head and chest voice, pitch, tone, confidence, and knowledge of the musical theatre repertoire.

Contact Ryan Cowl at ryan@bluecanoetheatrical.com for further information or to set up lessons, you can also fill out the registration form above.

The Instructor

Ryan Cowl is a recent graduate of Queen’s University. Ryan holds degrees in music and education, focusing on vocal techniques and pedagogy. Ryan has been working in music and theatre for nearly two decades in various roles, including performer, educator, music director, orchestrator, and composer. Ryan is fresh out of a touring contract with the Thousand Islands Playhouse and two productions of his first original musical: Homeschooled the Musical, which was a hit of the Storefront Fringe Festival and Blue Canoe’s own Juvenis Festival. On a good day Ryan can also play over two dozen instruments!
