Our Projects

Blue Canoe Productions is a youth arts non-profit organization who created opportunities for young people between the ages of 13-29 in the arts. These opportunities range from gaining experience in theatre, to a youth arts festival, to education programs for a wider range of ages. Viva Voce: Storytelling Coffeehouse

Created by Tiana Prince and Alex Oliver in 2014, Viva Voce is a youth storytelling coffeehouse presented for free 3-4 times a year. This event showcases young people telling stories connected by a different theme at each event. The storytellers are selected in advance and rehearse leading up to the event date, the stories are not always told in the oral tradition, Viva Voce explores all ways to tell stories, through song, dance, dramatization and other creative ways.

Viva Voce is open to the public, storytellers are all between the ages of 13-30 and are selected through an open call process.
