About the Workshop:
The workshop will improve the students performance prowess and on-stage acumen with this fun, focused small-group intensive workshop. Led by award-winning Scottish actor and theatre director Scott Kyle. Explore small-group exercises to become your character and mentally prepare to step onstage. Immediately apply your new tools in group.
Syllabus: • Focus exercises • Breathing exercises • Body awareness • Surroundings awareness • Vocal harmonies & warm up • Movement exercises • Seven parts Physical Characteristics (animals & humans) • Put into practice to tell stories for an audience group. Workshop Leader Scott Kyle brings a decade of expertise, energy and enthusiasm to student work and a mindful approach to performance preparation.
More about Scott Kyle:
Best known as "Ross" on the hit television series Outlander, Scott is also the Program Manager for Fife Cultural Trust. An acclaimed entertainer, Scott won the "2010 Stage Best Actor Award" for a self-starred/self-produced musical comedy that toured across the U.K. He now delivers theatre workshops to promote awareness of the youth theatre arts and Scott's Theatre's mission.

Scott Kyle travels across the world, visiting communities to support local youth theatre groups. Mr. Kyle's visit to Kingston is a two day event, fans can attend at dinner and a lunch cruise with special guest Scott Kyle, enjoying an evening or afternoon of food, drinks, stories, music and more! All the proceeds from this event go towards helping two youth theatre companies including Blue Canoe!
