Blue Canoe's next production is an all High School Musical! In similar styles to our productions of Rent (2009) and 13 the musical (2012), Zombie Prom will feature a full cast, band and crew of high school students, with production team positions for University and College Students or any older young person within our age range. This is an opportunity for local high school students to take leading roles in our productions, as well as University students to work with members of Kingston's community.

Man of La Mancha

Our summer kicks off with a golden age classic. Man of La Mancha tells the story of an historic author, Miguel de Cervante, who is imprisoned waiting for the inquisition. While in prison, his fellow inmates decide to put Miguel on trial, threatening to destroy his manuscript and trunk of theatre props and costumes. Miguel takes the prisoners on a journey into the story of an old man who decides to take on the role of a knight "Don Quixote" and sets off an adventure to right all the wrongs in the world and prove that virtue will triumph over evil.

Monty Python's Spamalot

A musical comedy adaptation of the Monty Python classic film "Holy Grail" a parody of the legend of King Author. This musical follows Arthur, travelling with his servant Patsy, recruits several knights to accompany him on his quest, including Sir Bedevere, Sir Robin, Sir Lancelot and Sir Galahad. On their adventures they run into ridiculous characters, all in the style of Monty Python sketch comedy.
